Born in Los Angeles in 1978, Tristan Eaton started pursuing street art as a teenager, painting everything from billboards to dumpsters in the urban landscapes of the cities where he lived, be it London, Detroit, or New York. He made his first toy for Fisher-Price at 18 years old and was soon dubbed a driving force in the world of designer toys. Eaton's work for Kidrobot, including the famous Dunny and Munny art toys, helped him achieve international renown and an ever-growing fan base. After forming his creative agency, Thunderdog Studios, in New York City, Eaton became a leader in the advertising and commercial-art spheres, and is regularly commissioned by a roster of clients that includes Nike, Hasbro, Versace, and even Barack Obama.
These days, Eaton is one of the most prominent street artists working
today. Eaton now focuses on his fine art and mural work full-time, which
can be found in over 18 countries across the globe. Eaton’s work can
also be seen in the Cooper-Hewitt Museum and (MoMA) New York Museum of Modern
Art's permanent collection. www.tristaneaton.net

Connection to KidsArt: "I first attended KidsArt classes in 1985. I was seven years old and would take classes every weekend! Ed Warren has been my art teacher, mentor and close friend ever since. His lessons did not stop at KidsArt. He helped push me along and discover inspirations all the way through to my adult life. The work I did at KidsArt as a child gave me confidence for the rest of my life. It was proof that I had something worth pursuing and a talent worth developing and caring for." -T. Eaton
